So, last week I re-started my Cleanse And Polish regime, and I have to say (as I always do everytime I return to Liz Earle skincare) 'Why, oh why did I ever stop using this genius product?!'
Basically cleanse and polish is a hot cloth cleanser, much like Eve Lom. I'm pretty sure Eve Lom came up with the system first, however I have tried both (granted, only a tiny size version on the Eve Lom), and in my opinion Liz Earle is far superior. The main draw being the price - a 200ml tube of Cleanse and Polish, plus two muslin cleansing cloths costs around £22.00, the same amount from Eve Lom will set you back around £75.00!!!
But price aside... Cleanse and polish is amazing.
It's a very thick creamy cleanser, which you apply to a dry face. The smell is devine - all of the natural (and mostly organic) ingredients contribute to this, such as eucalyptus, chamomile extract, cocoa butter and rosmary essential oil.
It's a very cool and soothing process, but suprisingly un-oily.
Once you have massaged the cleanser onto your skin, you soak the muslin cloth is warm water, squeeze it out and use the cloth to remove the cleanser, gently buffing your skin as you go.
For me, it has limited my need for an exfoliant to maybe once a fortnight!
Almost immediately you will notice the difference - my skin looks radiant, and amazingly clean. Every pore looks clean and refined, and there is not tight feeling afterward (possibly because there are no harsh chemicals, meaning it's perfect for sensitive skin like mine)
I dont use the toner or moisturiser, as I have breakout-prone skin and i'm still trying to wean myself off of Clean and Clear, but I have heard many good things about there Superskin moisturiser.
Anyway, i've had my little product rave of the day, and now I have a questions for you guys (if anyone's reading!!):
Any suggestions for a gentle, oil free everyday moisturiser?
Gemma
